Login or Request an Account

  1. Login to CWRULink by launching Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Chrome and browsing to https://case-csm.symplicity.com.
  2. Select the type of user you are. If you are a non-faculty employer offering student employment, select Employer. If you are a CWRU faculty member, select Faculty.
  3. Follow the instructions on the registration screen.

    In the Services Requested section:

    • For Services, Select “Job Postings”, “Profile”, and “Profile Viewable Contact”. These are the default selections.

    In the Company Information section:

    • For Organization Name, enter Case Western Reserve University for all departments and centers that are part of CWRU.
    • Organization Description is optional. You do not need to complete this field.
    • For Website, enter www.case.edu.

    In the Contact Information section:

    • Salutation is optional.
    • In the Full Name field, enter your full name (first name and last name).
    • In the Title field, enter your position title. Please be as specific as possible.
    • In the Division field, enter the name of your department or center.
    • In the Phone field, please enter your work contact phone number in the format (###) ###-####.
    • In the Email field, please enter your work email address.
    • The Cell Phone and Fax fields are optional.
    • In the Street field, for CWRU enter 10900 Euclid Ave.
    • In the City, State, and Zip Code fields, enter Cleveland, OH 44106 respectively.
    • Enter the pass code shown below the red box in the red box.
  4. Click – Submit.

You will receive an email notification from Career Services when your account has been created. This may take 1-2 business days. For assistance, please contact the ITS HELP Desk at 216-368-HELP (4357).

Add a Job Posting

  1. Login to CWRULink by launching Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Chrome and browsing to https://case-csm.symplicity.com.
  2. On the CWRULink Career Center Home page, Select Create Job Posting from the right navigation menu under SHORTCUTS. Note: If you’re not on the Home page, you may get to it by clicking on the Home tab.
  3. On the Job Postings creation page, complete the posting creation form by the following instructions:
    • Under Position Information:
      • Are you a third-party recruiter?* Click No.
      • Position Type* Select Student Employment and/or Work Study.
      • Checking the Student Employment and/or Work Study will display only those fields required to create a Student Employment job posting. You will be asked for an OPR number. If you do not have a CWRU OPR number, please contact the Office of Student Employment at 216/368-4533 or stu-emp@case.edu.
    • In the Job Title* box, type the name of the job you are posting.
    • In the Job Description* box, please enter a description of the job and any skills or education requirements for the position. This description may be as lengthy and detailed as needed.
    • Next to Restrict Applications*, Always click yes.
    • From the Application Type drop-down menu, Select Undergraduate Student and/or Graduate Student; to Select both Undergraduate and Graduate students, press and hold the CTRL key as you pick.
    • In the Contact Phone Number box, please enter a phone number where you would like students to call to apply for the job you are posting; use the format (216) 368-4533.
    • In the Department box, enter the name of the department for which the student will be working.
    • In the Home Department OPR#* box, please enter the OPR number to which the student’s time will be billed.
    • Next to Resume Receipt*, Select E-mailNote: This selection applies to all documents uploaded by student applicants, including but not limited to: Student Employment Application form, resume, and cover letters. If you make some other selection for Resume Receipt* you will need to return to CWRULink to see any Student Employment Applications received for the position posted. The Default email address for resumes box will auto-populate with the email address of the person who is creating the job posting; it can be changed if you would like to use an alternate email.
    • Next to Additional Documents, Select any additional documents you require in support of a Student Employment Application, e.g., resume, letters of reference, cover letter, etc.; students will need to upload any additional documents to CWRULink to apply online for any position which requires additional documents.
    • Next to Display Contact Information to Students, Check the box. Contact Information* will populate with your contact name automatically; you may edit the information in this field if you would like to enter an alternate contact name. Enter the e-mail address(es) and telephone number(s) of the individual(s) to be contacted by student applicants.
    • Next to Posting Date*, Click the Select button to display a calendar from which to select a start date for your job posting; current date is recommended.
    • Next to Expiration Date*, Click the Select button to display a calendar from which to select an end date for your job posting, after which the posting will be automatically archived; you may select a date up to 60 days from the Posting Date.
    • Next to Work Period*, Select the academic term(s) during which the student will be employed; students may be hired for the summer term or the academic year (fall and/or spring semesters).
    • Next to Required Work Schedule, Select the time of day during which the student will be required to work; Select Other to enter an alternate or flex work schedule.
    • In the Hours Per Week* box, Type the number of hours the student will be expected to work, e.g., 10 or 10 – 20; not to exceed 20 hours per week for Fall and/or Spring semesters.
    • In the Hourly Wage* box, Type the rate of pay in dollars per hour, a minimum of $9.20 (please include ‘$’).
    • Next to Federal Work Study*, Select Work Study if the student may be paid only with Federal Work-Study funds, Select Non-Work Study if the student may be paid without Federal Work-Study funds, Select Either if the position may either with or without Federal Work-Study funds.
    • Next to On Campus*, Select yes for jobs on the CWRU campus; Select no for jobs off-campus.
    • In the Location* box, Type the building in which the student will perform the majority of their work or in which the position will be based.
    • Next to Human Bloodborne Pathogens*, Select yes or no.
    • Desired Major(s) is an optional field; Select preferred majors from the list or leave it blank at your discretion.
  4. Click the Submit button; or Save And Finish Later if you would like to complete or revise your job posting at a later date.
